Freshwater Gear List
In preparation for a guided trip, below is a list of items to remember when getting
knee deep for trout. As always, if you have any questions feel free to drop us a line

Provided by the guide:
Rods/Reels:
Can be provided but a good thing to have. Depending on
fishing conditions and time of year, these can range from 4
weight to 6 weight outfits.

Fly Line:
Provided with the rod/reel outfit. A weight forward floating
line matching your rod is best for all conditions.

Leaders:
Provided. Leaders will range from 4 feet to 12 feet depending
upon conditions.

Flies, Floatant, Split Shot, Strike Indicators:
Provided, but feel free to bring your own. Will vary greatly
depending upon conditions.

Need to bring:
Medications:
If you need medications, bee sting kits, inhalers, etc do not
forget. If you need your medication on ice, please notify the
guide in advance.

Proper Clothing:
Hat, long sleeve shirt, long pants to protect yourself from the
sun. Also, in times of the year when weather can change
quickly, make sure to dress in layers and pack a waterproof
jacket if possible.

Sunglasses:
Polarized glasses are necessary to see the fish properly.

Sunblock and lip balm:
It is important to protect yourself from the sun when exposed
for long periods of time.

Fishing License/ Trout Stamp:
Make sure to pack this and remember to purchase a trout
stamp.

Camera:
A good thing to have to remember your day on the water.

Waders/ Wading Boots:
Breathable preferred.
